December 2016

Last round of the Superone MSA British championship. What an amazing year in S1, I'm lost for words 3rd overall with Jonny Wilkinson. Well done Jonny!! Well done Paul with top spannering !! Well done Alfie Hodges winning at Kimbolton Iame Cadet Well done James Taylor for win X30 Jnr Cock of the North at Wombwell. Well done Cian Shields winning Iame Cadet at Rowrah, excellent effort Kai Bachini keep pushing.

July 2016

Jonny yet again in Iame has shown great form, with a win and a 2nd in the heats. This put him on P2 for the pre-final. He had a great battle with Harry and Joseph, but settled for 3rd. In the final Jonny pushed away with Harry and Zak just hanging on in 3rd, Jonny took the lead with 2 minutes left on the clock but it was short lived, Harry worked his way by, a great 2nd place for Jonny.

Luke in Honda was amazing, qualified 1st in group, this put him in a great position to finish high up in the heats. 4th & 5th in the heats which put Luke on 6th for the pre final, a great start got him in 3rd by the first corner but he got hit from behind pushed Luke hard into the tyres, the main final Luke had to start at the back but by the 1st lap he made up 18 places, a small mistake cost him a few places, Luke finished 22nd but a great showing over the weekend. Luke is now showing that he can run with the best and work hard.

Buckmore Park MSA British Cadet Championship rd 5
What a amazing weekend Jonny Wilkinson p1 in qualifying, first final p5.Then boom p1, what a great race and so close between 6 drivers!! So proud to have achieved so much is such a very tough class!!
Also the ever improving Luke Watts who drove amazing in such dreadful conditions on Saturday to finish 10th in heat 2 P23 for final 1, unfortunately he was pushed out in final 2 but never gave up

April 2016

Rissington S1 round 2 Iame Cadet
Josh Rattican, Jonny Wilkinson, Archie Mace, Luke Watts & Jake Weston. Josh and Jonny were well on the pace all weekend, good qualifying and heat which lined them up for 3rd and 4th for the 1st final. They pushed hard and worked together throughout to get a great 1-2. KMS front row for the 2nd final, Jonny got pushed onto the grass at the start and worked his way back to 8th, getting fastest lap of the meeting in the process. Josh was in contention all race until the rain came and slipped back to 6th but scored the most points of the meeting. Archie and Jake showed great pace, just off a few tenths from the front pack both pushed hard in the finals and drove strongly in the changing conditions Luke had a few issues but overcame them in the heats but unfortunately didn't qualify for the main final.
Great result for the drivers and the team getting stronger every meeting

LGM rd1 PFI

Jake Weston pushed hard and with his confidence building he was unlucky to make it to the main final.
Luke Watts ever improving but with carb issues in the B final he was just out the top 4.
Archie Mace joined us for the 1st round, he showed great pace but with some bad luck finished towards the back of the main final.
Josh Rattican was very fast and should of easily finished top 5 but had to come from 20th to 11th. Watch out he'll be on a mission in the next few rounds!
Jonny wilkinson is fully on it. Jonny started p5 for the final and quickly moved forward, with some great thinking finished a great 3rd!!
James Taylor X30, also showned very good pace and qualified 17th in a very strong grid, he got up to 11th but he got pushed on the grass which pushed his bumper back, this resulted in 30th after a penalty which wasn't his fault!!

March 2016

Whilton Mill with Jonny Wilkinson (Iame) and Luke Watts (Iame-Honda) Good performance from Jonny in testing and race day. Qualifying 7th in the final, good start got him to 3rd on the first lap but slipped back a few places as the pack bunched up and turned into a dog fight. Jonny pushed back to 9th in a very strong grid!! Luke's last race as a novice, he worked hard all weekend getting faster all the time, coming on fast with a lot of seat time (Iame-Honda).

A good weekend at Rowrah. Two very good days learning the track with Jake and Luke and a lot of confidence building as well. Jonny was on the pace all weekend with a lot of purple sectors in every race!! The circuit conditions were very tricky on the Sunday with the snow and ice but all got through the day

January 2016

Kato spoke with great pride on how the team had progreseed in 2015 and off his aspirations for 2016. All the drivers received a mention and a prize for the evening. Josh and Piers jointly received The KMS Driver of the Year Award for their efforts throughout 2015.

December 2015

Kimbolton
The last meeting of the year. It was a wet but not to cold meeting, with Iame Cadets Jonny Wilkinson, Luke Watts and Chris Draper. Jonny and Chris were on the pace Saturday and Sunday morning, but a few small changes didn't work in the heats, however in the final after being pushed back a few places Chris and Jonny drove well to get back to 5th & 6th in a very competitive grid! Luke drove well learning all the time, but with having a bad crash in heat 1 and not starting heat 2 it didn't give him the track time he needed, he tried very hard in the final and so very nearly won the novice trophy.

PFI 1st round of the winter series
Jake Weston ever improving in Cadet and for a small lad has very big determination!! Jonny Wilkinson drove really well on a very tricky circuit to finish 9th in a very strong grid. Josh Rattican very confident and so very near to winning P2 very well done. James Taylor in X30 had not been in a kart for 2 months but still impressive P7 in the final out of over 50 drivers!! Very well done team it's getting better every weekend, team work pays off!

October 2015

Kimbolton HKRC
With Dylan, Jake, Jonny and Fraz. Practice on the Saturday went well and we were on the pace with Jonny but Dylan and Jake had a few issues which we sorted out on the Saturday night. Sunday race day Jonny qualified 3rd and Dylan was 9th, Jakes first time there and after having a knock back yesterday was 20th. All the drivers were very strong through the heats and showed good pace. A good strong performance by Jonny who was with the front group finished a great 3rd, Dylan was the best I've seen in a long time, very confident in the traffic and with Joseph Taylor leaving the door open on the last bend Dylan took it and won!! Jake had a strong start and did make some places but was spun out on the first lap, but carried on. Fraz was in Mini Max but had a few issues with the front pushing on but didn't give up fighting. Great result boys ‪#‎keeppushingworkinghard‬.

September 2015

Shenington LGM. Josh, Dylan and Johnny in Cadet LGM, all showed good pace in the heats. Josh qualified P9 but having being pushed out with the racing so close ended up a frustrating 13th. Dylan had the pace in the heats with a P2 in Heat 2 and was looking hopeful for the final but had an engine issue. Johnny showed great pace and now pushing towards the front end of the pack, he was pushed out but worked hard all weekend. James in X30 Jnr was fast all weekend, with an issue in one heat he qualified 20th but with a great drive he came through to 5th to be with the front group. Jake was in Iame club and showed the full plates how to do it, putting it on P18 for the final but drove his best to carve his way through to a great P8 out of 30 not bad for a novice!!

PFI Club meeting with the Cadets, Josh, Piers, Jonny, Dylan and Jake. Great pace all weekend, with Josh and Piers on front row for the final, it was looking good with a strong 1.2.3 with 2 laps to go but it wasn't to be!! From leading Piers DNF after a coming together with another driver (the other driver was excluded). Josh was lucky to hold on to the kart and finish 4th. New boy Jonny Wilkinson finished a great 2nd place. Dylan was just off the front pack but pushed hard all weekend. Jake was showing the big boys how it's done by finishing 18th and getting the Novice award. All the team worked well and showed great maturity in the race and never became fazed.

August 2015

Shenington club meeting last weekend, with Josh and Piers right on pace. Piers took fastest lap in one heat, unfortunately the front three had a good start which left a battle between the next six drivers, 7th. Josh and Piers 8th. Jack and James in X30 Junior had very good pace all weekend, both in the front pack in the final and James came home in a strong 4th and Jack drove the best we've seen, finishing 6th with fastest lap in the final!!

June 2015

GYG North Wales Super One
Good pace throughout the weekend! Josh, Dylan and Piers all qualified within the top 13 for the first final in a very tough grid. Dylan drove out off his skin to finish a great 6th place and got the top rookie award! Josh struggled with engine power and was stuck in a midfield battle. Piers was running top 6 until some inexperienced driver pushed him off the track. The pace is there and a win is knocking of the door in S1 for KMS!!!

Buckmore Park Kent Super One
Buckmore Park 3rd round of the British Championship. Great pace from Piers, Dylan and Josh. Piers and Josh pushing at the front with great team work with great results!! Josh 4th and piers 6th!!! Dylan was on the pace but was stuck in the pack and found it hard to move forward. But ever improving!! The team is moving forward and working well, onwards and upwards!! PF International TVKC

May 2015

Good pace by the Cadets, with Josh on P2, Piers on P4 and Dylan on P14 for the final. With the track drying very fast and only being able to lower the pressures it was going to be an interesting race. Josh finished 3rd after running in 2nd for most of the race. Piers made a slight mistake which dropped him to the back but drove well to recover to 8th. Dylan gained a few places but never gave in until the flag and finished 12th. X30 Jnr, Jack had one of his best results in the class by finishing 14th in the final and improves every time out. Elliot started 14th and had a great race!! But by the time he made it to 4th the leaders had a big gap that he couldn't close, P3 in the end.

April 2015

Buckmore Park Club

Dylan in Cadet was fast from the word go on Saturday!! In the Sunday race day didn't get fazed with anything, a very mature drive!! He made the move when it counted to win the final.

X30, Jack was fast on the Saturday and took to the track very quickly and on Sunday pushed hard to put some very fast times in. James was fast and confident pushing through the traffic on Saturday. Race day Sunday he worked hard and won all the heats and the final, great drive. Well done to all drivers, great result.

LGM RD2 Kimbolton
It was going to be a tough one with only three five minute practise sessions. There were some tough heats and the racing very rough at times! We had  a few issues on the way.

Josh drove well all weekend and came a very good 8th. Abbi and Piers in the middle of the grid were fast enough to finish a good top 10 but one driver at the start forgot to use the brake pedal and removed half the grid including three of our drivers!! Not such a good finish for them. Dylan was also caught up in this and had a DNF with a flat tyre!! Jack was fast but was unfortunately pushed out of the way in the heats. In the B final he was running 4th but was hit hard from behind and rear bumper damage caused mechanical flag. James started 9th for the final but was caught up in the usual Kimbolton first corner crash fest!!  With good strong pace, Elliott was fast and finished in a strong 5th, used his head to move forward.

LGM RD1 PF International
Cadets- Josh, Dylan, Abbi and Piers. Not a bad practise day Saturday, we were not far off the pace. Race day and a top 15 start for Abbi, Josh and Piers, Dylan had a bad heat and started a little further down the grid. Abbi, Josh and Piers worked together as a team and made great progress. Piers and Abbi finished 7th and 8th with Josh in 11th after being pushed off by another driver in the last few laps. Dylan pushed hard but after being loaded at the start finished towards the back.

X30- Jack, Elliot and James. Good in Saturday testing, not so good in qualifying for Jack and Elliot who were held up on their fast laps, which gave them poor grid positions for the pre final. James qualified well. Jack and Elliot were in the B final where they both failed to complete the start due to plugs fouling!! James made the A final but was pushed out at the start and again half way through the race. All three of them showed great pace. Work harder get better results!! Next stop Kimbolton Round 2.

Whilton Mill 22/03/15

3rd round of the Club Championship, with Dylyan, Josh and Piers in Cadet and James, Jack and Elliot in X30 jnr. Saturday testing was good for James, Josh and Dylan. Jack and Elliot struggled a little but we eventually resolved the issues. Race day; Piers joined us on Raceday and as a consequence struggled a little until the 2nd heat. After a great start in the final he worked up to 9th, a good result considering he didn't test. Dylan drove great! P5 for the final, he was spun round in the opening lap but pushed hard till the finish! Josh drove his heart out and showed the best the way to go. He nearly won but a great 2nd place!

X30; James was fast until his chassis failed in the final. Jack showed great pace and is getting better with every race He gives great feed back and never gives up. Elliot kept a cool head and made some great moves in the opening lap of the final. He was 2nd to none, great win for him after a lot of hard work and overcoming a few issues.

PF International Winter Series 01/03/15

Last round of the PF Winter Series, with Dylan, Abbi, and Josh in Cadet and Jack and Elliot in X30 Junior. Not bad pace on the Saturday after sorting a few issues out. Jack drove well after coming back from 5 weeks off with a broken elbow, he made the main final and stayed out of trouble. Elliot after an average qualifying and heat was at the back for the final but with a great mature drive, finished 2nd. Josh qualified well and this put him on p3 for the pre final. Unfortunately the axle moved and this moved him down to the B final but with a comfortable 2nd he qualified at the back for the A final where he pushed hard and showed get pace to finish 13th. Abbi started well but was pushed into the barrier deliberately at the end of the first lap, she never gives up and pushed hard until the flag!! Dylan drove well but with engine issuses this meant he had to work hard! He finished the final 13th but had a 10 second penalty which dropped him back but he won the Rookie Championship in the Winter Series!! On to Rowrah next weekend.

February 2015 Whilton Mill WMKC
Abbi, Josh, Alex, Dylan and Piers in cadet showed great pace on the Saturday. We needed a few alterations to driving and set up but it was looking good!! James in X30 had never been to Whilton Mill before and had an up hill struggle but was there or there abouts for race day. All the drivers drove well and we had some really good finishes in the heats on Sunday. After poor conditions the finals were cancelled but all the cadet drivers were in the top 11 out of 44 with Piers achieveing fastest lap of the day. James in only his 2nd race in X30 had some really good finishes which put him on to p6. Good driving by all in very poor conditions.

Buckmore Park BPKC
A good test all round on the Saturday with Fraz, Dylan, Piers and Josh. With a few issues on the way it looked like it was going to be a tight race, which it was in the final, all 4 drivers at the front and working together!! Piers won with Josh 2nd. Dylan proved to be very strong at the end but after a coming together and he ended up in 5th. Fraz sat playing a waiting game for the last lap but was pushed off line on the last corner. We nearly a had KMS 1-4 but it wasn't to be but we looked very strong. Great team work !!

Rowrah CKRC
Lots of dry testing on the Saturday for Dylan and Piers. Race day was late starting due to low cloud over the track but it eventually cleared. Piers took control winning all three heats and the final, with fastest lap in each. Dylan drove well, finishing 2nd in all the heats. Unfortunately he was pushed out at the start and had to settle for 3rd in the final. Next stop Buckmore Park.

January 2015 Kimbolton HKRC
There were ups and down for the weekend. The Cadets showed great promise working together on the Saturday and Sunday. Abbi worked hard all weekend putting her kart on pole for the final, she kept a level head and lead until the last lap but finished 2nd. Piers had a strong 2 heats with fastest lap in the final heat, but the engine stopped on the rolling lap ending his race. Dylan struggled at times but worked hard throughout the weekend, unfortunately was pushed off at the start. Fraz worked hard as a new team member and showed really strong pace in the final. Josh had a great start to the final and was looking good working with Fraz but lost a little pace towards the end of the final. Jack Smith in X30 is working hard every race and was within 7 tenths of the fastest time, unortunately due to a very slow rolling lap the engine choked up so was unable to start the final.

December 2014
Kimbolton HKRC
Testing went well on Saturday with both the Minimax and Cadets on race pace. Abbi was the one to shine putting it on pole for the final. An excellent Cadet race with all the drivers driving their hearts out, giving KMS one of its best team results of the year. 1st Abbi - 3rd Piers - 4th Alex - 5th Josh - 6th Dylan - 12th Jack. A great first MSA final win for Abbi and there's more to come. A great team effort on the track.
Bryony was setting the pace all weekend. Unfortunately in the final the engine cut out on the rolling lap and that put paid to her last Minimax race and winning the Championship. However a great 2nd place finish in Championship for Bryony, well done!
110% effort all weekend by everyone, let's keep it up and push hard for 2015 !!
PF International
A tough weekend with the weather changing all the time, the icey cold didn't help. The driver that loves the wet shone, and while trying a new kart out showed the top drivers how it's done. A few mistakes along the way but Dylan Hotchin finished 2nd overall. A tough race for Jack and Abbi, an excellent drive by Josh Rattican coming from the back of the B final to finish 9th in the A final.
A hard race for Bryony and both the Rafferty boys in X30 with the track drying out, the 3 found it hard in these conditions.

Very good pace from all the cadet drivers on the Saturday. Sunday morning was a wet start but with some good results in the heats all was looking good for the final. Abbi and Fraz worked hard with the leading group and finished 3rd and 4th. Piers struggled in the 1st heat which placed him towards the back but he finished 7th. Jack and Dylan came through from the back to finish 12th and 13th not to far off the pace. It's coming back to where we were!! Hard work and team work will make us strong!

Whilton Mill last weekend, a tough weekend with a very strong grid. A good experience for Jack and Dylan, not the result we wanted but that's Motorsport!!

Whilton Mill 28-29
Whilton Mill last weekend with Jack, Dylan and Bryony. All showed good speed on the Saturday. Sunday Jack was on it from the word go in the heats and qualified 8th for the final. Not bad finishing with the front group in the top ten. Dylan struggled in the heats but the pace was there in the final, finished 15th both improving so fast!
Last time out for Bryony under the KMS Team, sad to see the King family leave us. Unfortunately not a good weekend, with engine problems she didn't go out with a good result! Good luck Bryony, it's been great over the last 3 and a half years!
Next stop PFI, last round of LGM and PFI Club Championship.
Shenington 20-21
This is the toughest Championship I've known in years!! Only the best will win!!
Josh, Abbie and James showed pace on Saturday with Jack and Piers not to far behind. All the drivers upped there game in the heats and showed the rest of them the way to go!!
Josh was the highest placed driver finishing 6th and at the sharp end of the pack! Piers was next up in 13th, he had to over drive due to power issuses. James in 16th didn't have the best of starts but worked well and should of finished higher up. Abbi after being pushed off again!! Drove her heart out to come back through to 16th she had great pace all weekend and should of been an easy top ten! Jack was really strong only to have a dnf in a heat,otherwise he would of made the main final!
Tom in X30 had few problems with his motor, he had never raced the track, so did well!
Next stop whilton mill
Kimbolton HKRC 13-14
Jack was strong all weekend and after a very good showing in the heats, it put him p3 for the final. After being pushed off at the start he struggled to get to back with the front boys! Dylan improved over the weekend and was on pace, started p7 for the final and had a good battle in the top 10. Piers was fast again, putting it on pole, he lead most of the way, until 3 corners from the end when he got pushed out the way, 2nd for Piers. Bryony struggled in Minimax on test day but race day came and she drove very well. In the heats put it on p3, had a good battle with 2 other drivers but it wasn't to be, was tangled up and had a D.N.F.
Next stop Shenington LGM!
PF International TVKC 6-7
September club at PF International. We were good in X30 all weekend setting the pace with Bryony King and Lucas Yaus. A very strong drive in the final saw Lucas pull away a few kart lengths, Bryony worked hard to beat the rest of the field, showing that she is not one to be beaten!! Lucas 1st, Bryony 2nd, great team effort!!
The Cadets struggled in Saturday practise finding a few issuses. Sunday - James, Piers and Jack perservered and were eventually on pace. With Piers starting 7th for the final, he looked strong for a good result. However he inexplicably struggled with the kart and had no pace but his determination kept him fighting to the end finishing a disappointing 13th. Jack had a good run, working with other drivers and using his head. It's getting better all the time with Jack!! James was strong, he pushed Edgar around for most of the race to come back from a poor start to finish 14th.
We have to work hard to sort the problems out, then we will be back next week stronger than ever!!

August 2014
Shenington K.C. 16-17
Well what a week, testing at Whilton Mill Wednesday and Shenington Friday. 1-2-1 with Jack Smith and I pushed him hard, he has finally shown unbelieveable pace!! Totally different driver, so happy with his progress!!
Saturday at Shenington, Jack, Piers and new boy Dylan Hotchin. We had an up and down day testing but always on or very near pace. We had a little work to sort Dylan's kart but got him there in the end. Sunday was a mixed bag with mixed finishes, Piers pushed hard as usual and came from 9th to finish a great 2nd, passing 3 drivers up the hill on the last bend to the finish, he so nearly won!! Jack had mechanical problems, he came from the back of the grid up to 9th but was taken out with a lap to go. Not bad driving considering for the 3rd heat and final he had never even sat in the kart before due to hard crash in his own kart. Dylan showed good pace and was racing in the pack in the top ten, showed great over taking and didn't back down!! Finished a very good 9th!!
On to another busy week's testing and some late nights but all worth it to see the kids smile at the end of the meeting!!!

Britisk Kart Grand Prix - Kartmasters 31-03
Kartmasters last weekend which is always a tough meeting but we gave it our all. Jack Smith found it hard due to an engine problem but found pace in the final. James Taylor was mid pack and ended up 16th overall in a very strong Cadet grid. Abbi Pulling was very fast all weekend and finished a good 13th. Josh Rafferty who poled it on both Friday and Saturday showed he was quick enough to win but finished a good 10th. Piers Henderson is a hard fighter and never gave up, he came through the pack to finish a strong 8th. Tom Rafferty in X30 struggled to start with but improved as the weekend went on and finished 4th. Bryony King raced in both Mini Max and X30. Mini was strong to start, with a position 3 for the Pre-final and 6th for the Final. However the tyres were overworked and she was pushed down to 11th. X30 Bryony poled for the Pre-final but was excluded for excessive chain lube on the clutch. Starting from the back she finished 11th in the Final.

July 2014
Fulbeck 26-27
Great day at Fulbeck today! Really close final, well done Vision Motorsport with the win. Great drive by James to finish 2nd, he'll back back harder and stronger next time! What a weekend for Jack - 2 good days testing at PFI and finishing 5th at Fulbeck keep pushing it's coming. On to Kartmasters next weekend...
Shennington 19-20
Bryony, Jack and James had never been to the circuit before, after some wet and dry testing they picked the circuit up fairly quick!
Bryony was fast all weekend and was pushing hard through the pack of jnr Max's in her x30 a very good test weekend for her! Jack was better than normal and picked the track up well throughout the weekend, and in the final was mid pack and not far off pace. James worked hard and was pushing hard in 4th in the final and was looking good for a podium unfortunately got tagged in the hairpin and got pushed back. But the pace is there, well done guys and girls keep it up.
Kimbolton 12-13
Round 6 of LGM, practice day went well with just a few small problems, the heats were tough but managed to get Abbie, James, Piers and Josh in the Cadet A final, Jack found it a little tough but never gave up in the B final. A very strong run from Abbie, Piers and josh, to come from the back of the field to finish 11th, 15th, and 16th, James wasn't so lucky by being taken out in the bus stop. Tom in x30 learnt the track fast and was on the pace, he started 7th for the final, and worked his way up to briefly lead the final but finished 2nd overall, great driver! Bryony raced mini max, and looked very fast, heats went really well and put it on p2 for the start of the final, great start!! And within 2 laps was leading the race and in control, but another driver squeezed by her on the last lap for the lead, 2nd was good enough for her club championship challenge. The team is looking strong and always moving forward, onwards and upwards.
PF International 5-6
Testing on the Saturday and Piers had great pace. On race day we had 3 good heats which put Piers on pole for the final, the final was going to be tough!! Places swopped on nearly every lap and was hard to get away. Piers lead on the last lap, going into right before pits he got loaded up pushing him off wide, ended 3rd overall but showed a very mature drive. On to Kimbolton next weekend.

June 2014
Whilton Mill 21-22
Whilton Mill this weekend with Bryony in Mini Max. She hasn't not been there for a few years and the first few sessions were about getting up to speed. By the 4th session she was on it! Saturdays testing went well. Sunday morning practice and again she was on pace. A girl on a mission!! First heat started 9th finished 3rd, great drive. 2nd heat started 13th, crashed at the start, ended up 20th. 3rd heat started 22nd and finished 13th with a good strong drive. 15th on the grid for the in the final. A difficult start and Bryony dropped down to 28th, she came back to 13th with some great over taking. Overall a good weekend. Standing starts needed at Whilton Mill!
Fulbeck 21-22
James and Jack at Fulbeck. Jack had a tough weekend with mechanical problems. James was fast and was on pole for the final but as Cadet racing goes it's not over until you cross the finish line!! He ended up 4th but achieved a new lap record!
Buckmore Park 5th round LGM 14-15
Saturdays testing looked very promising, we were on pace with Piers, Abbi, Josh and James in Cadet and Jack not far behind. James and Jack hadn't been to the circuit before and picked it up well. Tom in X30 did well in testing and learned the track well.
Sunday morning and all was good in the Heats with a win from Josh, 3rd from Abbi who showed the boys how to race!! Piers had a 4th pushing Tom Wood around. James and Jack were unfortunate not to make the A final. James started the B final on pole and lead from start to finish. Jack had a good start and came from 28th to 16th – great effort!. After 4 laps the race ended due to a crash.
The A final - Josh on p8, Piers on p14, Abbi p22 and James p27. Josh got off to a steady start and was pushing hard and with fastest lap he got up to a great 6th place. Piers got pushed off at the start but with his head down worked back up to a great 13th place, he held fastest lap until the last lap when Josh beat him by .05 of a second!! Abbi got pushed wide at the start but pushed hard all race and she never gave up to get back with the pack. James worked hard from the back of the grid and got to 17th. Great run from the Cadets, all moving forward!!
Tom in X30 was good through the Heats and gridded up for p3 for the final. A steady start and he found himself in p6, he worked hard but has not raced since G.Y.G., so a good run.
Hard work pays off. On to the next race!
Rowrah 4th round of the LGM.
Saturday morning was dry, testing went well and it looked like we were on the right foot!
Sunday morning and the track was dry. James Taylor qualified well in 14th. His race went well and he was running 12th until the last lap, when he was involved in a dog fight, which concluded with James being knocked off track. However he drove well and finished 18th.
Abbi also qualified for the A final and made some good progress, she dropped off towards the end of the race. A shame really because she deserved better after some good over taking in the heats.
Piers struggled most of the weekend with the engine set up and had to over drive the kart to make up time. He was unlucky not to get in the A final but he'll come back stronger next week when the problems will be sorted.
Jack’s driving continues to improve and with every race he becomes better and better. 6th in the B final was his best to date in LGM. The A final is looking promising soon!
Bryony Kimbolton
Some bad luck in the Heats through no fault of Bryony’s, resulted in starting 10th on the grid for the final. A mature drive by Bryony in what turned out to be a difficult race, concluded in her finishing 7th, in front of nearly all her main championship contenders.
PF International
PF June club meeting last weekend. The track was good and a lot of grip down. Saturday was good for Piers and James. Jack was getting faster and faster during the day. Bryony struggled a bit with only coming back from New York the day before. Sunday morning all was good. Piers had problems with too much grip in the final but finished in a good 5th despite this. James drove a great race to win the final. It was a shame Walker and Barnard came together with 2 laps to go as it was turning into a great dog fight between the 3 of them. Jack was running well until he was run off the track in the middle of the race but his race craft is getting better every weekend!! After a tough day Saturday for Bryony Sunday morning looked more promising!! With 3 mid pack finishes she was pumped up for a good final. She had a good start but had an issue with her clutch resulting in a dnf. Some work to do in the week to get ready for the fourth round of LGM at Rowrah.

May 2014   LGM G.Y.G. North Wales
Well it was G.Y.G. 3rd round of The LGM Series last weekend, with Henderson, Pulling, Taylor, both Rafferty brother's and Smith competing. With an up and down day Saturday and with the weather changing every second, I was kept me on my toes with set up. At the end of the day we knew where we needed to be!! Iame Cadets on Sunday was another testing time with the weather, however Henderson, Rafferty and Taylor made it into the A final, with Pulling and Smith in the B final (unfortunately they didn't to go any further than the B final). In the A final Henderson made a good start and gained 10 places but was pushed on to the grass, pushed to the back and didn't go much further, Rafferty started 10th and with carb problems managed to hold on to 12th, Taylor started 24th and got pushed off on the first lap and struggled to get back with the group, but battled until the flag.
X30 was tough as Tom had never driven the track before but got to grips with it towards the end of Saturday. On race day Tom showed good pace but over worked the wet tyres in the heats and struggled to stop the rear sliding, 5th in the final but not bad for first effort at G.Y.G.!!
We have some work to do in the next few weeks to find what's missing!!! But love the challenge, #nevergiveupandkeepfighting!!
Kimbolton
Bryony King was at Kimbolton and on pole for the final. She was the class of the field until some brainless driver thought the only way to beat her was to park on top of her at the first corner!!! Thanks to Jono for the help.
PF International TVKC
PF International this weekend with Bryony in Minimax and Piers and Jack in Iame Cadet. Piers and Bryony were on the pace and looking good. Jack shocked me how fast he's coming on, smashing his personal best time and only a second off Piers, so looking good for Sunday. Sunday morning came and all was good in the heats, Jack went even faster only .6 of second off the fastest lap. Bryony grew some balls!!! And showed the boys who's boss!!! Piers looked very good and fast!
In the final Piers lead from the start lights to the chequered flag, and won by 3 seconds.
Jack was unbelieveable, he was running 7th but got pushed out mid race and ended up 10th, he learnt so much this weekend!!!
Bryony gridded up p3 and with a standing start, which appeared so much cleaner and safer!!! She pushed and didn't back down one bit!! After a last lap scrap she ended up 4th - great drive!! Great weekend at PFI, off to G.Y.G. for LGM round 3, going to be tuff but never back down!!!

Well done to James Taylor, a clean sweep at Fulbeck!!! 3 heat wins fastest lap in final and final win plus driver of the day

April 2014
Kimbolton this weekend. Bryony racing Minimax and X30, showed good pace Saturday in both. Minimax was a little tough with the top 15 split by 3 tenths! Bryony worked her way up to 4th in final but was pushed wide on the top corner ending up 7th overall. X30 was better - won all heats and the final, plus had to contend with the Juniors in the way, but she wasn't fazed by that and did the job!!.
Racing in Cadets - Jack, James and Piers. A new track to learn for Jack and James. Piers had very good pace all weekend, and showed the rest how to do it by winning the final in style!! Jack struggled a little to start, but got faster throughout the weekend with good progress. James raced hard and well, he worked his way up to 3rd in the final with some cleaver moves!!
Larkhall next weekend for 2nd round of LGM.

March 2014
After a bad weekend at PF, the problems were resolved in the week. Then we were off to a sunny Kimbolton. Testing was good on Saturday we showed good pace with Abbie and Piers in Cadet and Bryony in Minimax. Abbi drove very well all weekend and showed very good promise on the new Gillard, she finished 4th in a strong field. Piers overcame some small issues and was pushing with the best, very good start was looking for a good result, but was helped into the tyres on first lap! He drove well after and showed good pace on his own.
Bryony struggled on old tyres on the Saturday, she showed good pace in heats and qualified 4th, a very good start but she slowly went backwards to 6th.
A few weeks of testing ahead ready for LGM 1st round

February 2014
Kimbolton this weekend with Bryony in Minimax and X30, it started how it was meant to be, she was focused from the first session!! She tested well and was looking good, today she stayed cool and calm on the track, the best I've seen her drive, with a 3rd and 2nd in the heats put her on pole (think her first as well) she was still calm and collected drove an excellent race in the final and won by over 2 seconds. Shame her dad couldn't keep calm!!!! X30 was a poor turn out of drivers but never the less a win is a win! Even beating half the Jnr Max drivers, 2 final wins nice one Bryony.
Buckmore Park this weekend with Piers back from his holiday unfortunately we had issues with the kart, not doing what we wanted it to. More work there but a good test weekend for him, finished 3rd in Iame Cadet. A faultless drive for Josh in Iame, he keeps getting better and better. His first win for KMS, well done Josh!,
Bryony in Minimax was there and had the speed but it wasn't to be, 9th but with the pack! Bryony had some good starts, not losing position but gaining places, chin up Bryony we're getting there!!
Good team building weekend, we're still looking strong all round. On to Larkhall next week more team building

January 2014
Kimbolton - Very good pace on Saturday, good drive by Bryony King in Minimax finishing a strong 3rd.
Iame Cadet - A good effort by Abbie Pulling and was there at the start of the final, a shame someone used you as a brake!! KMS heat win by Piers Henderson, unlucky start, but from last to 5th and fastest lap excellent drive.
PF International - Not a bad first weekend for the KMS, very fast in X30 after a few problems and good driving by Bryony, she finished 3rd. In Minimax Bryony drove her little heart out from the back of the grid to 8th under very poor conditions
